I look up to the large sky, ominous in thick dark colors and clouds, wondering, how long will I be wandering around here before I disappear? What colors are life and death? What did I eat for lunch yesterday? Thus are the questions of those who are of the lost, lurking in darkened shadows and hiding behind our smiles of confusion when we find ourselves drowning in too much light...they are also the questions of those who only pretend to be dark and brooding.
Which am I? A little of both, maybe...depending on the day, I suppose. Mostly I'm a writer who loves to embellish in juicy, extensive sentences that provoke pseudo-profound imagery. I'm also an artist. I love theatre, film and music. I love books and art.
I consider myself to be a cynical optimist, with a slightly pragmatic view of things, though, I too have my own melodramatic moments and feel that underneath my exterior, thrives a very passionate person. Whether this shows in my journal entries...well, I don't know. I kind of doubt it.
I have the ability to stand back and observe my own life with a sort of 'third person' detachment. This website is random and it's purpose tends to change for me every so often. Whether it's for my thoughts, to carry on discussions with my fellow lj-ers or to take account of events in my life...I know not for certain, but that I will write something. But if you wanna have a slice of my brain, here it is, Hannibal.
